The Island of Conformity

You will swallow your words when deep in your soul the words ring true,

You will betray your soul.

You will censor your words, so you do not rock the boat,

And soon you won’t recognize your own words anymore.

You will nod in agreement when your soul is shouting no,

And your soul will go into hiding.

You will smile when your soul is weeping,

And soon your smiles and your weeps will have no meaning.

It will be US against THEM,

You will lose yourself.

Where did YOU go?

Aha…. You became one of them,

You finally belong to The Island of Conformity.
